Introduction

The annual Borneo Safari event is one of the most grueling expeditions across Borneo.

In this event, teams will go through mountains and valleys, rivers and streams for 8 days. This challenge will push teams to their limits; they will have to depend on their toughest off-road vehicles to navigate their way through the treacherous Borneo rainforest terrain.

However, this expedition is neither a race nor a rally. Teams will be awarded according to the skills they display in driving, obstacle clearing, and innovation in vehicle recovery. Teams will also be judged based on team spirit and cooperation.

In various stages of this expedition, teams will also be given tasks to complete—all under the inevitable environmental pressure. Teams will undergo deep river crossing, tested on their map reading intelligence, perform bridge building and mud side clearing to earn the coveted points. Points will be deducted should safety rules be breached in dangerous driving, speeding, as well as vehicle equipment abuse.

The 4x4 Borneo Safari expedition will denote the enduring power, stamina and skills of tough off-road drivers. Throughout this challenge man and machine will merge together to overcome all odds.
